PHSOtheFACTS came into existence in 2013. Citizens who had been badly failed by the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman came together to fight back. We lobbied parliament with some success whilst reform of the Ombudsman was on the political agenda. Unfortunately, after the EU referendum the proposed draft legislation for a new ‘People’s Ombudsman’ was shelved.

We now act as a support and advice group for people going through, or thinking of going through the Ombudsman process. We are also an Ombudsman watcher, doing our best to hold PHSO to account.
